Making the most of your Pair AI Masterclasses isnt just about taking them - its about applying what youve learned. In this post, Anne shares three practical, research-backed tips to help you embed your learning: teach others to reinforce your knowledge, exchange ideas with peers to uncover new use cases, and use AI tools regularly to build confidence and capability. Mastery comes through action - and AI is here to support, not replace, your professional growth.
Like any other skill, making the most of your AI tool it requires consistent practice, reflection, and sharing. Doing that will set you up for success in terms of embedding it into your daily work. Here are three research-backed strategies to help you stay sharp and get the most value out of your learning experience:

1. Teach what you learn

One of the most effective ways to solidify new knowledge is by teaching it to others. This approach, known as the "protégé effect," has been shown to improve understanding and retention. When you explain a process to someone else, you're forced to organise your thoughts, identify gaps in your knowledge, and engage more deeply with the material.

Tip: After you complete the masterclass exercise take a few minutes to find another relevant use case. Share it with a colleague or your team, a demonstration can be especially effective.

2. Share and learn from others

Peer learning and knowledge sharing are critical to building a strong AI culture in your organisation. By exchanging experiences and ideas, teams can accelerate innovation and avoid duplicating effort. Research from MIT highlights that organisations benefit significantly when knowledge flows freely across departments.

Tip: Initiate regular check-ins with colleagues going through the Pair AI Masterclasses, discuss how you're using AI tools. You may uncover novel applications that enhance your own work.

3. Use it often, use it well

The more you use AI tools, the more proficient you'll become. Regular use builds confidence and helps uncover additional use cases over time. Just like learning a language or instrument, fluency only comes through consistent application.

Tip: Identify routine tasks where AI can assist - drafting emails, summarising documents, preparing for meetings, or even brainstorming ideas. Small wins will turn into significant time savings and improved outcomes.

AI is here to support you

Pair with AI, don’t compete against it. AI is not here to replace professionals; it is here to empower them. The human remains at the centre of the process - providing judgement, context, and creativity. These tools to amplify your strengths, not substitute them.
